Dear Cecilia,
When your mom sat me down and shared that she was expecting a little girl, I had no idea what to expect, who you would resemble, what type of personality you would have?? Looking through these pictures it's almost as if we've gone back in time and I am photographing your mom because you two look so much alike. You possess a lot of the same qualities as her, extremely strong willed and determined. For example when I picked you up from school and you pointed to me and turned your little body towards your teacher saying "seeee" as if they doubted you that I was picking you up from school. "This is my uncle Megan." Your teacher tried to correct you and explain that because I am a girl I would be your Auntie Megan. You politely listened to her, shook your head and forcefully responded "Uncle Megan," end of story. On our way to ice cream, we sang along to tunes in the car which you requested on Kiss fm. I had so much fun with you on our little outing and as I edited through the pictures a week or so later I sat with a huge smile on my face. Your moods are so transparent, (I wonder what side you get that from) inquisitive, sensitive, happy, ecstatic, stubborn, but I knew exactly what to say to bring a smile to your face. I found it quite funny that you pulled up your dress to reveal your underwear so as I was laughing uncontrollably you took this as a sign to keep doing it, this sequence of pictures made me laugh as I went back through them. I am lucky to have such an adorable, smart and determined little niece, I'm excited to see what this life has in store you, or rather what you have in store for this life and I look forward to watching you grow my little munchkin.
